APM EVOLVES INTO OBSERVABILITY
Traditional APM will continue its decline in importance and mindshare as cloud-native observability subsumes traditional APM.
In particular, agentless approaches that leverage open telemetry will increasingly supplant agented APM. Agents will still have a role, but they will be relegated to legacy environments that aren’t properly observable.
